@yarbo-forum @marco Thanks for any help you can provide. I shared the video hoping helps you rule out wheel controller issue vs a mechanical issue. It’s part of the troubleshooting process. I appreciate the expedited case for your field service engineer for further investigation.
@Yarbo-Forum @ken.w.gregory @bryan.wheeler @marco Can anyone else please see if they can view My Google Drive file. 4 days later I get an email just now saying they couldn’t see it? It’s open to anyone with a link. I just checked it.
Please and thanks.
I could not access it before. I’ll try again.
I just tried and I can see it now.
Sounds awful…
Thanks. This is what they’re thinking.”Meanwhile, as your issue appears to be related to a walking motor failure, we are unable to troubleshoot it remotely. Once we run a walking motor test, your Yarbo might move unexpectedly and could potentially collide with surrounding objects.” Yet I recorded both times, when I was running it. They saw nothing. Now That may have changed?![]()
I just watched it. That’s sure seems like a mechanical issue, and probably not field serviceable.
@Yarbo-Forum @ken.w.gregory @bryan.wheeler Bryan said I may need a new core. Still puzzled. “We’re unable to troubleshoot remotely. But Once we run a walking motor test, it may move unexpectedly?”![]()
I hope they do something. This will be my 3rd core. 4 days, still waiting. Grass keeps growing. We’ve had over 2” of rain in the last two days. If they do send a new one 7-10 days minimum at best. If we take this into the weekend, even longer. It took 4 days to get a reply back.![]()
@Yarbo-Forum @cobradunn @ken.w.gregory @bryan.wheeler Just heard back again. Update.
Looks like it went from R&D to mechanical.
Maybe Scottie has it. Oh no wait, that was engineering.
Our R&D team has confirmed the cause of your issue, and we will arrange a replacement for you. Our support team will contact you through your support ticket to follow up on this.
Have you heard of other gearbox failures like this one? I haven’t read of others.
Hold my beer…
Ouch!
@Yarbo-Forum @bryan.wheeler @cobradunn @ken.w.gregory @merkswood Got this in from them at 4:30am EST. So looks like core #3 on the way. Looks 7-10 more days again. Thanks.![]()
Good to see they’re going to send you a new core. Hope it arrives soon!
@bryan.wheeler @ken.w.gregory @Yarbo-Forum So I finally got my new core in. Got it switched with Support. I was able to get the Map Transferred to the new core. I keep getting Map Drift error. So Power Down DC, Core and the error went away. Sent him out to start working. Well now 50% in the job. Lower end of the plan he’s doing his normal. Now that he’s 50% complete in open area of the yard nothing but clear sky. Top end he’s making a funnel to the far end, and nothing at the bottom end. 4” overlap slow speed, no hills, or slope. Any ideas? Letting him charge back up, then going to power DC and Core again resume at 50%![]()
What does it look like sitting on the dock? Is it perfectly centered? If not, you may want to correct for map drift. Make sure L2 is GT 10 and HDOP is 1.4 or less. Rover has to be charging with an RTK status of 4 to correct it. Make sure it is perfectly between the yellow lines on both sides of the dock and the metal bumper is aligned with the rear yellow line. Then enter yard and correct for map drift (three dots at the top).
Map drift plagued me for quite a while when I first installed. Using the option to correct map drift did work in the end. I also moved my charging station away from the house. It was too close.
If you were functional before simply correcting the map drift may work.
I haven’t tried the Map Drift correct. Once I did the Power Cycle of DC, and Core. The Error went away. All the stats you posted are correct and good. Something is way off though. He’s not seeing NGZ, creeping way past the boarders. Ran over my gutter downspout. On gentle contact. One end looks good. But by the time he goes 50 Yards, he’s 12” off with a 4” overlap. The smart turn is on. One end is fine. And working, the end with the 12” gap, making teardrop turns missing WAY too much.![]()
