It is working now. The firmware of the rover was not updated. It updated last night at 3 am.
Thank you all on the forum for the advice.
That was my suspicion. Thanks for confirming.
Just ran Jack. Worked fine even though the FW still hasn’t updated, only the app has.
Glad to hear it’s working now! And glad it wasn’t a big deal.
What happened to dead end and zero turn pathways/sidewalks? Now it gets stuck at the end.
The battery said it was too cold to charge, so i drove the rover into my garage using the great smat vision as the control panel wouldn’t let me drive it because it was offline and the chute wouldn’t rotate error.
I removed the battery and brought it inside for 30 minutes to warm up. Popped the SIM Card out and in. Then charged the battery using the wired charger. It won’t go to the docking station as it doesn’t see the DC? So I’m going to drive it outside next, but the GPS just has a rotating circle around. I assume it means no DC. I had the DC unplugged for 30 minutes while warming the battery. When it was inside before the GPS was just red.
Yes, this is caused by the Yarbo being in the garage. Can’t see the satellites in there. Nothing to worry about. ![]()
The rover communicates with the data center over HaLow. If you unplugged your DC and the core from power for 30 mins, then they should be sufficiently reset. You should see some satellites in the garage unless it’s some type of faraday cage. I’d drive it out into the open for 30 mins and see if you get satellites picking up and a green GPS. What concerns me is the GNGGA of the RTK section being zero. That’s like the data center isn’t properly initialized. You can see how it goes after the 30 mins, but I suspect you may need to reinstall the data center under settings. That will wipe maps though. In theory you can restore them from backup. Alternatively, you could reach out to support and see what they think.
Just out of curiosity, what does the main screen show you? 4G, HaLow, WiFi, or Bluetooth? If Bluetooth, if you disable it on your phone, do you see HaLow?
It shows HaLow, but my skinny antenna is broken! But I ran like before cutting the grass?? The screen shot is just a few posts above showing Halow
No GPS after 30+ minutes outside. Reinstalled the DC, but still no rover GPS even after 15 minutes. I didn’t re-install the docking station, but I’m trying to reload my maps–not looking good so far just spinning for 10 minutes.
Do you have cellular enabled and is there any usage on it? You definitely need to get a ticket going. The maps should load instantaneously, but if your HaLow signal is poor, that could be the reason. I recall seeing good HaLow above and DC connection to the internet too. Not sure what’s going on, hopefully support can diagnose it quickly for you.
I rebooted my phone and the maps loaded quickly. Support used 7M last night playing with it, got an email a bit ago that an escalated engineer is going to take a crack at it. So, I stopped playing with it an left it our side with 75% charge now.
I did start my gas snow thrower–just incase.
Thanks for you help and teachings. I read a bunch of posts some from Sep 25
Sure thing. Keep an eye on your charge, it can drop quickly when it’s searching for GPS and with the battery heating. Connect the wired charger or put it back on the dock if it’s outside if you can.
You need to put it back on the dock if the Train Drivers are going to play with it. They can’t do anything if it’s plugged into the aux charger.
Ask me how I know. LOL
Jack
Thanks! I was hoping they fix it then I could just tell to go to work in the morning–so I manually drove it on the dock. Just lucky and I didn’t want to go out in the cold, but they didn’t get to it yet. I’m guessing a different time zone:)
My App updated automatically on iOS - since then I got Camera disconnected CM006 and the deflector /chute not moving. Yarbo is still on old firmware . Ticket ## 152200 ##.
Already done : Restart from App , Power down , cut power for 10 min , power up. Issue persists. Camera came online for a few minutes, but still no movement on chute/deflector possible within app controller. Both sliders there not on middle position but far left /up. After another restart:
“ Front camera disconnected” - no change . SAM Module working fine.
Yarbo was doing a fine job every day until update. Any Ideas ?
I’d get a ticket opened. Sounds like you’ve done everything you can for now. Hopefully it’s something simple they can remotely fix.
It’s already opened as RD /support ticket - if I had known before I would have disabled automatic app updates on iOS. Thankfully our wave of snow coming in is not comparable to the one currently in the states.
I’m thinking it is just a coincidence. It sounds like something going on with the snow blower module itself.
Updated both SW and FW. I was excited about the change to track slippage and raising the auger height. Unfortunately, had the recurring track slippage and auger needed to be raised.
This happens when Yarbo returns for a recharge.
