Firmware V3.12.0 & App V3.17.4 Release Notes & Feature Highlights

Looks like a bad antenna and VERY bad timing:smiling_face: Next time I’ll update after a blizzard.

Thanks for your help et’ll. Sitting doing nothing was driving batty. I’m a service guy, so you learn by failures sometimes. I guess Brayn failed a lot

In my niche, I also help others engineers, mostly newbies, but it is some what self serving. If i get them to fix it. I don’t have to do a follow up visit. I get paid either way.

Thanks again for sharing,

Doug

Dear Doug,

Thank you for your efforts.

Swapping the antennas will not fix the GPS issue; it is only a diagnostic step to help us determine whether an antenna is faulty. Based on the results, it appears the left antenna is malfunctioning.

We have arranged to send you 2 RTK antennas and 1 Halow antenna (the skinny one) for replacement. Once the parts are shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.

Regarding the high-gain antennas:

These are specialized RTK antennas designed to improve GPS signal reception in partially obstructed environments. They are currently in the testing phase. You may choose to purchase two high-gain antennas separately if you find the standard antennas underperform in your location.

As for the module disconnection:

Please reconnect the snow blower module to the core unit even if it is not recognized. We will then run a dedicated diagnostic on the connection.

We appreciate your cooperation and support. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards,

Sherry Cao

Hi Sherry,

Help:)

It made a difference! Rover sees/saw 22 satellites! BUT, still thinks no GPS.

Tried a shutdown, but pushing the power button only had the red light on for moments.

After 5 minutes-it seemed dead so I unplugged the battery for 5 minutes and powered up, but the red light only stay on for moments. waited another 5 minutes, then held the button for 20 seconds and connected Bluetooth and played music through it for 5 minutes still didn’t come ready to work. Now it thinks I don’t have a snow blower module (This is the 3rd time it lost the module), but this time it is outside not in my warmer garage!! I had to shutdown, unhook the module, boot up, shutdown, hook it up, reboot then it seemed more normal.

I had a spare broken antenna, but couldn’t thread it on–hence broken! Can I buy 3 flexible antennas posts and 3 high gain antennas? (This is killing me with a foot of snow still waiting to be cleared:))

Thanks for sharing, I’m going take my battery out once it hits 100% and bring it inside until my antennas arrive. I dont see a downside to doing this.

As a beta tester for them, I certainly have failed some. Helping the community with their issues has taught me a lot too as well as the seasoned veterans who’ve been using the product for years. Hope the trio of antennas helps resolve your issues. I also see no downside with bringing the battery indoors while you wait.

I watched yarbo start in the MIDDLE of a sidewalk, clear half of it (driving forwards), then reverse to the other end and clean the other half (driving forwards). Not what I expected when I mapped that one.

Charge it to 80% if you’re not going to use it anytime soon.

Mine too

I have currently 20+ successfully completed plans in the line.
After installing latest firmware 3.17.4 I noticed updates in behaviour and it looked better and more stable, even parking on the dock was more precise. For example waiting for chute before moving, plan path etc. Finally I see also improvements for Blower (to test in the Spring).
PS Obstacle detection is fully disabled.
Great work, keep improving!

Ditto.

The replacement RTK antenna fixed me! All errors gone. I even have 4 beautiful cameras.

It ate its way through week old 10” of snow pounding down by 3” of sleet then sunny days high in the 29’s low to -8 (cold for PA at 350’ above sea level), also where I blew snow on it a week ago much better than before. It didn’t make the perimeter run, BUT I didn’t have to pull it out-i backed it out the 5 yards.

I wish I could do negative safety zone and slowly increase my extra parking area on my frozen grass. Maybe 5.88” at a time.

Also, from my readings, I made my sidewalk an area since it didn’t aim snow at my front door now! It’s about the width of 2 lengths of the Yarbo.

The Nor’Easter missed me so I had to play with the old, but now I’m ready for the next event. My plow arrived too, no clue why I didn’t buy it right away. Although I made my driveway much wider so if i plow my blower will missed the plow pile by staying on the driveway. I will probably try to blow the plow area if I have time to play next time with the improved firmware.

I also wish for software to perhaps SHRINK, straighten my area to reduce/eliminate turns. It took me 4 area adjustments to stop it from turning in the middle length of my sidewalk area all because I drive like I was drinking, which I was from my upstairs warm room with a great window.

Thank all for the education!

After the last app update you can’t send Yarbo to waypoints. Not even with a Yarbo with the old firmware, has it moved or has something gone wrong.

I see you’re on WiFi and no GPS. Is your DC ok?

do you have go to waypoint? don’t have dc op for this yarbo. but don’t have the option to go to waypoint on my other yarbo.
This is my other.

Don’t have the SAM attached currently so I wouldn’t have it with the snow blower modules attached. I assume you have the SAM on those cores?

Yes I have SAM on this one.

The shortcut to Smart Vision is in the place where Go to Waypoint was before.

Ah… I see what you mean… Whoops! I’d get a ticket opened. Hopefully an easy app update.

Thanks, I do have labels set. I had to remap the one sidewalk so that it would navigate properly

When will we see go to waypoint back? I use it a lot now that tow mode is not released yet. The snow is gone in Denmark and it will be spring soon.

Would also like to see tow mode released for spring…
