Intermittent connection issues specifically with the Blower Module

Hello,

I am experiencing recurring connection issues specifically with my Blower Module. Whenever I switch to the Blower Module from another module, it frequently disconnects or repeatedly attempts to reconnect.

Has anyone else in the community experienced similar symptoms?

This issue persists whether I am connected to the data center or operating it via the manual controller. Interestingly, sometimes the module works perfectly fine for an entire session without any issues. However, when the problem does occur, it only happens with the Blower Module; I have never encountered this with any of my other modules.

I have already received remote diagnostics from the headquarters, but they were unable to provide a definitive solution. They requested that I record the issue on video when it happens, but since it occurs intermittently, it is difficult to monitor and capture the exact moment.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What specifically is disconnecting? The app, the module, the network connection, something else?

Are you powering down the core before connecting and disconnecting modules? If not, this is strongly encouraged. Weird issues can be averted this way.

I would like to provide more details about the connection issues I am experiencing, as I have not been able to capture it on video yet due to its intermittent nature.

When switching modules, I do not power off the main unit. Once the module is installed, the app correctly displays a message confirming the module change and its connection status.

However, while I am operating the robot manually, it suddenly stops, and the app displays the “module connected” message again, as if it were just reconnected. When I try to resume operation, it stops again and repeats the same “module connected” message.

This cycle of disconnecting and re-recognizing the module happens repeatedly. Has anyone else encountered this specific loop, or is there a known reason for this behavior?

It could possibly be related to the hot swapping of the module. Be sure and power down the main unit (core) by going into settings, shutdown. Swap modules, then turn it back on. If it continues to happen afterwards (intermittently) then it’s possible you might need some springs to help with connections in the module connector. It might have an intermittent or not quite good electrical connection. Yarbo support will send you these springs if that is their determined fix.

I have recorded the issue and sent the footage to the headquarters. They have confirmed that it is a software bug and have decided to prioritize it in the next update. Thank you all for your advice and support!"
