Snowblower - Module Disconnected

I thought I had seen this topic, but nothing that I can see came up in my search related to snowblowers.

After running since 4AM (multiple charges) in the last two minutes I got Module disconnected (image attached). I had the Smart Vision on and noticed the core had stopped (visually - cameras worked fine) and check the app for errors, tada I have this error now. Cameras worked fine but trying clear error and continue didn’t do the trick. Went out and picked the snowblower head up, gave it a good shake all solid. Cleared error again and off it went. It did it not 3 feet from the last spot again. Did the same routine and it was fine. It ended the job and I ran it for another 15 minutes before docking without the error again.

Ideas or add this to the never-ending story of helpdesk tickets?

Dang it. I think your first step should be opening a ticket to get the ball rolling.

Post the ticket here so @Yarbo-Forum can hopefully expedite it.

I would try completely powering down Yarbo and restart it. (disconnect battery then press power button), but offhand this sounds like a physical issue versus a software issue. Sorry.

Opened another helpdesk ticket. I will post results / possible solutions after I get past level one supports copy/paste answers.

If I had a $1 for every helpdesk ticket I have had to open because of this thing I’d have paid for it already.

If it makes you feel better mine is broke too. Left track locked up this afternoon. Dead in the water……

@B-Mod That sucks. That is another problem that is popping up more and more on here it seems.

Unfortunately it does seem to be a trend. Almost always the left side motor.

By now I would think Yarbo has had enough failures to determine a root cause. So hopefully the replacement units and new purchases won’t suffer from the same fate.

Potential good news on the track front. Jacks left had locked and today support took control of it. I know they did because it moved while I was away. As far as I can see they have fixed the problem. Just waiting to hear from them so he can get his medical clearance to return to work and what his diagnosis and treatment was. I’m thinking maybe a firmware issue? But they appear to have fixed it remotely. Fingers crossed that they have found the permanent solution.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience this issue has caused.

Ive consulted with our field service engineer regarding your case, and there is a possibility that the issue may be related to the M25 cable. I’ve asked our first-level support team to escalate your case as soon as possible so it can be investigated further. If a replacement is needed, they will arrange that for you promptly.

We appreciate your patience and will do our best to get this resolved for you quickly.

@Yarbo-Forum - thank you for the update. I am not sure that message made it through to your first level support as they sent a message that said nothing was wrong and all was working normally. I replied asking if having to go out and shake the machine was considered normal and required behavior and have not gotten a response since.

@Yarbo-Forum - I just sent it out for a quick two minute clean up at the end of my driveway. It traveled the length of the driveway which takes about 5 minutes traveling as expected then did the job. When it completed the job, it drove some, stopped, I could hear beeping coming from the core, it started moving forward with the blower down but auger off, I got an alert left camera not working (wait 2 minutes) and it kept driving without the auger running (I could hear beeping). It drove up the driveway and was still beeping with the auger off, I went out to take a video and you can hear the beeping and then of course it gets stuck on the side of the border and I stop the video but you get the point.

Pretty sure it is not operating normally.

I should note - the temp outside right now is 7F in case that matters. I brought it into the garage to give it a cleanup and greasing. When I sent it back to charge it operated as normal.

Maybe it’s just the video but it sounds more like squeaking possibly from ice build up? If you manually run the auger, does it sound like that at all or sound normal?

@bryan.wheeler It is beeping, real traditional warning beeps - no build up of any snow or ice.

Very similar to the issues I was seeing here : New core, new problems - #28 by Yarbo-Forum

I unplugged the battery for about 24 hours and then turned yarbo back on with the SAM attached. Thats seemed to work, so I switched to the SB. That seems to be working too. Yarbo magic.
I noticed in your post you mention is was 7F out when you had the issues. It was cold here as well, -24C (-8F) territory. The issues went away the same time as it warmed up. Maybe on to something….

Let’s be honest…. I dont like working in the cold either.

I did get another error last night at 25F, it was my favorite message yet on the app. “Take me to a warm place…” Hey Yarbo, you and me both. I’d like to be in Bora Bora right now also. If I get “Take me to your leader” I have hit my trifecta.

Error was tossed I think because of the snowblower disconnected errors again, but the Warm Place makes sense if you are broke anyways. The hits keep on coming Yarbo…

That’s why I got a Yarbo…

I 100% agree with you both and thats why I got this. My first mistake thinking this would be the case, I guess. Before I got this, I plowed my driveway in a heated skid steer. Now I am out doing some midnight or 2AM (literally) rescue walk freezing my baguettes off because it puked again.

I just received an update from Yarbo, they have determined that the show blower module is faulting and are replacing.

Same here except I was using a commercial Kubota diesel, mower and snowblower with heated cab. And yes the middle of the night walks suck. Even worse is it fails miserably and I end up walking many times, and then end up getting some middle of the night Kubota work to do the snow myself.

Hopefully this will be the last of the issues for you.
