Light and ultrasonic sensors

Hi everyone, it’s been a long time since I posted anything
I’m still having a problem with the lights. Have you noticed if your lights work at night?
For me, after returning to the charging station, the robot starts up normally with the top light and the two rear red lights, but no white one!

And when you look at the camera, it’s completely black! How does it see obstacles? Yes, I know, it bumps into them, lol, because I deactivated the ultrasonic sensors. When there are small white and yellow flowers in the grass, it detects them as obstacles and doesn’t mow them ;-(

So, is there a way to fix this? Because in the last update, you wrote that you had fixed it!
Yes, it lights up, but not after charging, lol!

For the ultrasonic sensors, it would be nice to be able to adjust the sensitivity!
Thanks everyone!

Do you have the auto light mode under work preferences on? If not, can you use the remote control in the app and toggle the lights on? It should remember the setting.

Could you please follow Bryan’s suggestion and check whether Auto Light Mode is enabled under Work Preferences first?

Regarding the ultrasonic sensor sensitivity adjustment, we don’t currently have a plan to add this feature. However, we appreciate your feedback and will share it with our team for future consideration.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

I already tried that, but it didn’t change anything! At first, it works perfectly, but I noticed that when it goes back to charging, that’s when it doesn’t turn back on, and so the front camera is black (except for seeing the moon, hehe). If I take manual control and turn on the light, when I restart, the light goes off.

I think there’s a bug somewhere
Could you check if you have the same problem?

I’d open a ticket so they can check it

Yes, but I wanted to know beforehand if I was the only one having this problem  Thanks, my friend, I’ll open the ticket.

As much as it isn’t fun opening tickets and dealing with the back and forth, it does help them identify users with similar issues and help narrow down where the issue might be and solve for it.

Hi

Did you find a fix for this? Also have the same behavior. Lights stopped turning on at night. I can turn them on manually if I pause and go to the all lights section of the controller but they shut down as soon as I resume. My auto-light switch is « greyed out » so I can’t even change it. Tried the usual sequence of long reboot, disconnect and so on. no light, no vision… and I do use vision…

I want my previous firmware back… :head_shaking_vertically: this one killed two antennas already, no lights, connectivity problem, etc… Are you aware @Yarbo-Forum of all those problems? Can we request to receive a previous version of the firmware that was working flawlessly for us and freeze it? I could open again another ticket but it will be the same sequence of reboot and shut down and sorry… but you know there is nothing I’ll do that will help. Is it possible to open a ticket and get escalated immediately to a field agent instead of having to do the 2-3 days of photos/reboot/video/screeahot with an agent that probably doesn’t own a robot themself? Thanks :folded_hands:

Are you in an active plan? Usually things that can’t be changed while working are greyed out when a plan is in progress.

Hi there, regarding the light issue, I’m currently confirming the situation with our product team and will keep you updated once we have a conclusion. The vision-based obstacle avoidance issue may also be related to the lights not turning on, as the camera performance can be affected in low-light conditions.

Please feel free to submit a support ticket. After submitting it, you can tag me, and I’ll help escalate it directly to our FSE team for further investigation.

Hi

I opened a first ticket (#230991) that was closed 33 minutes later because I was on the latest firmware ?!?. I explicitly said I had the problem despite this firmware (and by the way asking for my shipping number for the 2 broken antennas) and they closed the ticket thanking me for my patience…

I opened a second one #231003. I’m very happy usually with my yarbo. Less so when you update without my consent with a broken firmware… Routing is better by the way with the new firmware.

This latest bug is dumb. Lights work when I turn them on manually but then they turn off when I start a plan. I tried with both the auto-light toggle on and off.

With a large yard like mine, you have to mow almost 24/7…

Hi there, I’ve helped escalate your case to our FSE team for further investigation.

Based on your description, this is abnormal behavior, and our team will need to analyze the logs to identify the root cause.

Thank you for your patience while our team reviews the case and gets back to you.
