Lights on while on the docking station and new charging pattern

After the new update I noticed that Yarbo charges to a hundred percent and then stops charging. It drops to a certain percentage but does not always restart charging. Also not when I push the recharge button.

Also the lights are going on while on the charging pad. I have the home assistant integration (the one from Yarbo) installed and use that to turn off the lights. I do not see that option I the Yarbo App.

Anyone have the same behavior? I am a bit confused why the lights go on and the new charging behaviour (stop charging and not restart at a certain percentage).

Yep. The lights now turn on when docked and charging hits 100%.

Turning “all lights off” seems to mitigate it, at least until you detach / reattach the M1.

I think. YMMV.

I’d open a ticket. The lights should only come on if the app is connected as is my understanding.

Could it be because home assistant is connected? That Yarbo thinks the app is connected?

I don’t think so, but stranger things! Support should be able to narrow it down. I had one core that was doing it and they fixed mine. At least as far as I can tell.

Also what about the recharging behaviour. Did that change? As said when it hits 100% charging stops but does not always resume.

Yes, that was intentionally changed. It will start charging again at some point above 90%. If you see it below that, then something is wrong. If it says 100% all the time (in app), and charging is stopping and starting periodically, then that is normal and expected.

So I see it at 88% now and orange, not charging. And in your experience this is wrong?

Yes, that is not right. Could need the 4 hour unplug trick to get it to reset the BMS. Support can check the battery out for you too though.

I did that already a few times but behaviour stays the same.

Yep, definitely something else going on then. You could try charging with the wired charger and see if it will charge to full. Also make sure you don’t have a no charge period defined.

It charges to full the first time it goes on the charging pad but then it stops and does not resume after it falls below 90. Also not manually. I just submitted a ticket

Yarbo is designed to resume charging once the battery drops to a certain level, so the behavior you’re experiencing does seem abnormal. I’ve checked your ticket in our system, and our support team is currently reviewing it.

You can disable the lights that occasionally turn on while sitting on charger by clicking the app remote controller icon and on left top side click “All Lights” icon.

Don’t forget to turn them back on when you use the Yarbo again off the pad. Hope that this helps :sun_with_face:

I’m seeing this also since a. the new firmware and b. I added to home assistant. I’ve tried what was suggested and have been manually turning the lights off. I turned them off before bed last night but when i woke up this morning they were back on again. I know that @Yarbo-Forum said they will come on when the app is opened but this isn’t the case. Nobody touched anything overnight and they came back on.

Yes, I have the same behaviour. Thank you cocobob2 for the suggestion but the suggestion is just a temporary fix.

I am going to remove the home assistant integration and see if that changes something.
