Yup ticket is open and already referred to a “specialist”.
The first CS rep suggested just running in parallel mode with an offset and it’d eventually get all the spots. Needless to say I didn’t like that solution.
I’m hoping the PPVS was it, and sorry if you had suggested that in other threads and I forgot.
I’d get a separate ticket on having to turn off PPVS to make GPS work. It’s a bug or something that they should hopefully be able to remotely fix. PPVS is good if you lose GPS, it helps it continue to move the specified number of feet using dead reckoning to prevent “waiting for GPS” pauses and hopefully get to a spot with good GPS (which resets the counter). You may not even need it, but it indicates something else might be going on.
So disabling PPVS has also resolved the issue with pathing and the stripes. Yarbo mowed yesterday afternoon and did 4" overlap just like it should.
That’s very strange. The pause you had, was it in the same area it was missing?
No it happened across the entire yard, so was very noticeable. From the description of PPVS it sounds like it should improve accuracy, but maybe I’ll wait until it’s more developed to try it again.
Well, it helps with loss of GPS signal or poor GPS signal quality. Otherwise, it shouldn’t be used or needed.

For those interested, here is the response Yarbo Support gave on why this happened:
"To answer your question: yes, the behavior you experienced – where PPVS (Precise Positioning Vision System) caused the mower to track incorrectly and leave stripes – is a known issue we’ve seen in some environments. PPVS relies on a combination of GPS, IMU, and odometry to estimate position when GPS signals are weak. However, in certain conditions (especially with complex terrain or fluctuating signal quality), Dead Reckoning can accumulate errors, leading to the exact kind of path deviation and overlapping stripes you observed.
When you disabled PPVS, the mower reverted to pure RTK‑GPS navigation, which eliminated the Dead Reckoning errors and restored accurate tracking. That’s why you saw immediate improvement."
It’s good they answered, but the response doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. It’s tracking perfectly straight lines and skipping at the same interval.
Yeah, I’m not sure how their algorithm works, when it resets, and how long it carries the calculated values. I would agree it doesn’t make complete sense, but disabling it has resolved my issues.
I may enable it again in the mear future and see if the issue persists.

I saw a post on FB with the exact same issue, crazy odd.
It’s 108 degree feel like temps, dewpoint is 77 degrees. I am going out to unbox my new Pro mower. Hope I don’t die, and I hope my yarbo doesn’t catch this striping issue.

That’s a really odd answer that they provided. Sure sounds like a bug to me.
At least now you have a viable workaround. If it was me, I’d do some tests and slowly reintroduce the PPVS and find out if there is a threshold you can keep it at where the issue doesn’t reoccur.
I agree the explanation seems a little off. This functionality is clearly labeled as “beta” though so I spot Yarbo leeway as they work out the kinks.
It will be very useful functionality once all the bugs are worked out.
