New 5 Year Warranty for previously purchased Yarbo

Anyone know if we purchased a Yarbo lets say in the last 30days get the 5 year warranty applied? Had I known about the new warranty program I might have waited.

Same Same, just purchased 2 weeks ago. Extended warranty would be nice.

Those within 60 days of purchase can buy the new warranty plan is my understanding. Those outside of that will have to rely on the plan Yarbo is putting together for the early adopters. If you purchased before the announcement, I believe you are eligible for that option too.

If your purchase was within 60 days before we released the new warranty plan, please contact our support team. They will provide you with more details on the policy and assist you with the next steps.

When was it announced?

I got my Yarbo Core activated on 2025-05-26.

The event started on August 15th, and for orders placed within 60 days prior to the event, you can contact support for more details on the policy. Unfortunately, since your order was placed outside of the eligible window, the insurance company is unable to provide the 5-year warranty for your order. However, in line with Yarbo’s commitment to supporting all our current users, we have provided all existing users with a $500 Founders’ Care balance, which can be used once the 2-year free warranty expires. Additionally, we are actively exploring the possibility of offering an extended warranty plan, based on our capabilities. This plan is currently under discussion, taking into account the survey results we previously shared with you. We sincerely appreciate your understanding in this matter!

The response has conflicting information. Is the 60-day window based on activation date or date of order? If it’s based on activation date, where do we find this information?

You have gotten an EMail with the confirmation of the core activation.

Yes. I have the email. I would also expect it to appear in our account information somewhere as well for general warranty.

@yarbo-forum this is important distinction

I am interested in the 5 year plan as well. While my order date was prior, I went weeks without a working core and activated my current core after the date I believe.

Does anyone know how to read the SN for production dates?

I had my suspicions my replacement core was refurbished but was more concerned with getting some production out of the $6k yarbo had for a month. My original seemed new, but my replacement was missing the grounding chain and had grease sloppily applied to the inside of the tracks unlike my original.

It was a couple weeks later on the forum when I saw someone received a core with grass clippings inside so it wouldn’t be a first

It depends on when you placed your order. Apologies for any confusion caused. According to the insurance company, we have different policies based on the order placement date. For orders within the 60-day window, please contact our support team for more details regarding your specific case.

If you go into the App “Privicy and Security” you find the section “Waranty” where your items are listed with the activation or purchase date.

Those are activation or forced activation dates. Won’t show a purchase date to my knowledge.

If a Yarbo’s own application shows under menu named “warranty management” the activation date and underneath that it clearly states the warranty exploration date. Then isn’t this the real warranty end date @Yarbo-Forum ?

For example I now have replacement core what application shows I activated on 4th of August 2025 and warranty expires according to the application on 4th of August 2027.

Is the replacement core then eligible for the regular extended warranty scheme just as it would if I have had bought the new core on 4 of August 2025?

Every other post from support claims the warranties are based Activation dates. Now for the warranty extension were switching to order date? This is inconsistent and still confusing.

looks like choosing the cheap option rather than the option that follows current policy or gives a break to the crowd who were without working machines waiting on replacement cores.
