Must’ve missed it. My guess would be if the ECU has a spare connector port that is compatible, then they might be able to retrofit. I’m hoping that is the case. The hardest part would be the outer shell replacement or some type of mod. Maybe the strobe could be replaced with a lidar module or something. Either way, I’m hopeful they find a way. But, I highly doubt they will.
Shouldn’t need lidar with the promised vision system. (VSLAM and [whatever that other acronym that goes there that I can’t currently pull from my gray matter.])
USAFSPOCO
Right, don’t need it, but I still want it! LOL
IF vision works I don’t need LIDAR. that’s a big IF….
LiDAR doesn’t really work in large open yards. So I’m not really feeling like it’s necessary for the Y series, at least for my use case.
Yes, but for obstacle avoidance it would be superior than vision. Apply full sensor fusion and it would be the bees knees. A good scanning lidar can go up to 70m, roughly 230ft. That’s some good range for 3d mapping coverage.
I have major doubts about Yarbo performing true ‘sensor fusion’ any time soon.
Not trying to talk bad about Yarbo. Just being honest. I’d rather they spend their dev effort to get vision working reliably, and maybe even (gasp) utilize the ultrasonic sensors on the mower.
I agree, but lidar is coming to the M so I have some faith that will be fleshed out first. The ultrasonics are in use on the Pro mower. Don’t know if they’ve reenabled them yet on the M1.
Nope. They’re still showing all 9’s or something similar.
Is there any interference with the RTK signal and OTA updates?
