No Module after Update

Good day,

I just got an update

and now my GPS is working again, BUT I got a new error

which is not funny at all.

Also in the Manual Controll (Android App) is the button for activating the Blades missing and the Hight Controll in the right lower corner allow only 6,1cm and not more 10cm.

Hey guys, this is not funny at all.

I have to mow an area of 800m2 very short because on Wednesday 08:00 Estonian Time I get an Excavator and with the current sate of my lawn it can not opperate, because it see nothing.

Strange other issue:

Previously, when I wanted to reboot the CORE, I had to press the PowerButton for at least 50sec and then the CORE was flashing like an alien in Blue, Geen, Red and White.

This does not more work!

I can only switch the CORE on/off.

Anyone with the same error?

Also I have a new error

Have you tried completely rebooting the Yarbo?

Unplug the battery, count to 30, plug it back in, and power the robot back on.

Hopefully this helps. Please let us know.

You should not hold the power button like that. It’s basically for emergency recovery procedures. If you want to reboot or shut down, go into settings in the app and look under safety settings, restart and shut down or both located there.

I’d start by opening a ticket if you haven’t.

See if you can shut down the core from the app. (Open Yarbo App→ Select your Yarbo→Select setting Gear Icon top right→ Safety Settings → Shutdown Yarbo.

Then I’d pull the battery like @rgloverii said, but I’d leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. (30 seconds may work too. )

Hook the battery back up and press and release the power button on the back of Yarbo to power it up.

If it comes back up with no module detected, I’d try shutting down the core again and pulling the battery again and install the SAM module.

Power it up and see if it recognizes it. If not, you are likely stuck waiting on support.

As Yarbo has stated that they don’t recommend ”hot swapping modules” this is a little more time consuming.

If it does recognize the SAM, shut it down and re-attach the mower. Hopefully you’ll be back in business.

It is not possible to reboot the core.

The button accept only on/off

This is what I have already tried, but the CORE stay Off-Line

I will try it if it stop raining

So are you saying the Core will not turn back on now that you’ve unplugged the battery and plugged it back in?

I mean, IF I use the restart option in the App, the CORE power down but does not restart.

It stay Off-Line and I have to go out and push the power button physically.

Definitely not normal in my experience. You may be stuck waiting on support.

Ok. So just to eliminate as many variables as possible, perhaps try this sequence:

  • Unplug battery. Leave unplugged.
  • Remove any module connected to Yarbo
  • Wait a few minutes
  • Connect the SAM module to Yarbo
  • Reconnect the battery
  • Press the power button on Yarbo
  • Watch for lights to illuminate
  • Wait for ‘ready to work’ message
  • Access Yarbo via app
  • What do you see now?

Already done.

The SAM is detected and the Yarbo is working fine.

I just reinstalled the mower and started the CORE but I get agsin the error “No module detected”. It seems, the mower module is broken.

Yep, sounds like the mower might be defective.

Sorry about the bad experience. Hopefully Yarbo will diagnose the issue quickly and send you a replacement if necessary.

It probably will not help me this year because the grass and weed is already 30cm high snd if Yarbo need 5 weeks to replace it, I can shoot myself.

With the current weather I get per werk at least 8cm more.

Running with a Trimmer over the most importand areas take alrready several days and next month we should start harvesting from our 1300 apple trees.

It is a nightmare

This is probably a long shot but when you put the mower module on have the two retaining clips in the down/locked position before mounting it. Did you try that? I had this happen to me where it wouldn’t click in unless I put them down first.

It clicked verry well.

@bryan.wheeler refresh my memory, but this seems different than when the magnet breaks. Am I remembering that right?

Yes, this is a module communications issue. The magnet throws a module loosened error.
