Reboot when charge initiated

So just got a refurbed unit from the mothership to address the trimmer not being identified issue.

Good news is that the trimmer is now identified, and it worked great for a day, mowing, trimming, wirelessly charging

Bad news is that I woke up to a Yarbo that is now rebooting every 5-10 minutes when it tries to initiate wireless charging. A ticket has been opened, and yarbo appears to be actively engaging at the time of writing.

Original charging pad, flashes green starts to charge, then yarbo lights up, reboots, and the pad flashes red, green, red, green, red, green…then blue once yarbo actually reboots.

Pad has never been moved in 2 years. 50 degrees outside, started at 6:45 AM, in the shade.

Just posting to see if anyone else has had this same issue.

That’s a new one, haven’t heard of that yet.

SWEET! I think I’ve got “New Problem Discovered” on my YARBO bingo card!

I see a long rode of support help ahead of you…

Well, remote fix #1 didn’t work.

Hopefully they get to the bottom of this soon. Please keep us posted. I haven’t heard of this problem before either. Sounds like a new one.

So it’s definitely the core. My OG core charges just fine.

And plugging the refurbed unit resulted in an immediate reboot.

fedex must hate Yarbo. It’s 143 pounds…each. Way…

I’m sure this is why some cores are damaged. Seen lots of videos of cores being flipped off the truck and rolled end over end to the front door. Pretty amazing the abuse they can take during shipping.

I have seen mine delivered by flipping it out of the truck and the flipped till he got it closer to the house. I had a large package 2x2x2 delivered last week that the guy left upside down after flipping it, and I watch him take a picture of it upside down.

Yep. Back to the OG core without a trimmer.

gonna politely ask for a new one tomorrow as opposed to a refurb. This unit was obviously returned for a reason…and I found it!

Yep. Ask for a new one. Thats my advice for sure. Hope they agree!

It’s pretty amazing the abuse they receive.

Hi there, our FSE team would like to run further diagnostics on your replacement Yarbo, but it appears to be offline at the moment.

Could you please keep the unit powered on and connected so our team can investigate the charging and reboot issue remotely? Thanks for your help and patience while we look into this.

@Yarbo-Forum Unfortunately, I only have 1 battery and a yard that still needs to be maintained. So my OG Yarbo is currently doing it’s job as it should, albeit without the trimmer.

There’s no reason whatsoever that this should have happened out of the blue without being a hardware failure somewhere in the system, given that BOTH wired AND wireless charging cause the unit to reboot (I’m guessing due to a short somewhere).

And on top of that, the only way that the battery can actually charge is with my OG unit. I’d rather not put the battery back in the refurb unit that is likely shorting out somewhere inside my garage where it could either catch fire or god forbid go “Poof”.

Hi there, I completely understand your concern, especially if you’re not comfortable putting the battery back into the refurbished Core given what you’ve been seeing.

I’ve also seen your latest update in the support ticket. Your case has already been escalated to our FSE team, and they’ll review the full situation, including your replacement request, and follow up with you through the ticket as soon as they have an update.

Ok, so now they want to schedule a video call, with hours anywhere between 12:30AM to 4AM. WTH. or daytime hours during the week…while I’m at work.

All to see…the core reboot immediately when either plugged in or when charging is started wirelessly.

Beyond frustrated. just send me a new core. You can investigate this lovely refurbished unit to your hearts desire when you get it back.

Or keep sending refurbished units that have something wrong with them and keep eating shipping costs.

I feel your pain. I just boxed this refurbished unit up yesterday.

You strapped up your box? Wow.

I wasn’t that considerate. Just lots of tape when I shipped my old one out.

I did both.

I did save the old straps as well…something just spoke to me as I was opening it saying “it’s going back”.
