Got Voles digging holes. Gonna try the bucket traps so I can watch them suffer ![]()
It was within 24 hours for me. They ended up doing a diagnostic overnight, then shipped out the replacement. Of course, due to the mice, it was more than just that that was an issue. I was told that I’m getting a replacement core, just waiting for that to ship out.
As far as replacement, it wasn’t difficult. Just lots of bolts to remove and cables to unplug. Some of the cables were a little tight (not much slack in the wiring), but not bad.
I received the replacement core yesterday, and got it set up. However, I have a couple of issues (likely minor). It’s been online for almost a full day, but is still showing v3.11.0 for the firmware.
Additionally, the rover is showing probably 4 or 5 feet away from where it actually is (currently on the charging pad). When I try to correct map drift, it tells me “yarbo is not charging or RTK status is not 4”. I checked, and the rover RTK is showing a status of 4. Do I need to drive it around to drain a little battery or something?
Lastly, I am getting “no signal” for all cameras. Is that maybe related to the firmware/app mismatch (the app is the most current version)?
I did do both the data center and dock reinstall. Neither was moved in any way from their locations with the original core.
I did reply on my ticket, waiting to hear back. Does anyone have any idea, or should I just wait?
try driving yarbo away from the charging station. and use some power. and then drive back to the charging station so yarbo can charge up minus you correct map drift.
That’s what I was thinking I’d try. I’ll swap out to the mower and run it manually some once I make it home.
I’d definitely get the battery drained down to at least 90% and then try again. It’s a mismatch issue. I’d also ask them to update your firmware in the ticket since you are so far behind.
Thanks. Funny enough, just sitting on the charger for a couple of hours and not charging lowered the percentage enough where I could do the drift correction. I feel it’s a very tiny but still off, but I may be paranoid. If anything, it thinks it’s not as far forward as it actually is. Left and right sides look right on.
I have it mowing now, and somehow having working cameras (via the app again), though the firmware has not updated. All in all, it looks like that’s the last piece, and I’ll be all the way back. Now I just need to pack up the old core.
Thanks everyone for all the help!
My cameras worked with mismatched app/firmware versions. Sometimes it does seem to take quite a while to connect. I’m hopeful that is fixed with the update.
It happened before when the firmware updated but the app hadn’t yet. Getting the app to the matching version took care of it. This time, it’s the opposite, but the cameras work right now. Oh well, hopefully I’ll be all matching soon.
I’ve got a similar issue. Replacing the whole track assembly. I’m stuck somewhere. How do you access the wires inside the core to unplug the old track and plug the new one in?
