Trimmer loose cable error

Ok. Thats a good observation.

Edit:

I couldn’t resist so I just went and opened ie back up.

Unfortunately, that’s just a smudge, and that connector only powers the LED indicator on the back of the trimmer.

Here are a couple of new pics of my ‘bad’ trimmer’s interior.

Well it was worth a shot. BTW, damn AI getting everything wrong…

It’s a good tool to help but not something you can 100% rely on. Still takes a human to sort it out.

Had it too since the last software update, restarting the plan cleared the error for a while.
I agree it seems to be a bug.

Sorry I made you open it again

Hoping someone here can explain a response I got from support regarding the loose cable…I can’t understand any connection:

Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand you’re experiencing some issues, and I’d like to help you check a common cause. Could you please take a look at your cable reel? Specifically, please confirm that the cable has been fed out more than halfway and that the reel is not tangled or twisted. For your reference, I’ve attached an image showing how it should look.

If the cable is not fed out enough or if there’s any tangling, please let me know how it goes. We’ll move forward with further troubleshooting.

They are talking about the trimmer line. But if you got a cable loose error, it is not this. I believe that error is referring to the actual electrical connection. There is a fix that support can apply for that error, as long as it’s not valid and a false positive.

Yeah, I understood that. Couldn’t follow what that had to do with the loose cable, still don’t.

Yeah I think they are confusing the two and calling the line cable instead of trimmer string/line. I would provide them the details they are asking for and then clarify the error is talking about the cable and not the trimmer string/line.

Literally lost in translation….

It is really strange. First response was asking for a video of how I installed the trimmer. I responded with a description of how I did it and asked what specifically they wanted to see. That’s when I got the response I posted above.

The first response does make sense, there is a magnetic sensor that determines if the trimmer is connected or not, but that is a different error.

That explains why I was asked if I have a magnet. Haven’t gotten any more recent responses to the questions I posed…

I have same issue. The way I am handling it, I am restarting Yarbro system. Message goes away and I can continue to do the plan. Until next time message pops up in few hours. It is definitely software or firmware glitch. I hope Yarbro will fix it with next update.

I did the same thing…shutdown, reconnected trimmer, etc. Ran a small job yesterday (about an hour) and never got the message. Will see what happens next time on my multi-hour job.

Open a ticket. I don’t believe a firmware fix is going to address this for you. Support fixed it for me without a firmware update.

I just received the “fix” from Support. Tiny, tiny springs to insert into the power connector. I can barely see them and can’t understand how I’m supposed to insert them.

Here’s the link to the installation video:

Use some needle nose pliers if you can’t grip them with your fingers and insert them that way. Then a paperclip to push them in.

Oh boy this is a trimmer fix now too? Wow just wow…
