Unit moves forward, stops abruptly, then slowly moves forward and accelerates again

I’ve noticed a number of places where either on a path or mowing the unit will start moving forward, stop abruptly, then start accelerating slowly again and then faster. I was guessing maybe it detects some resistance and it’s a way of kind of smoothly restarting. Good news is it’s not something that stops the process, but it slows things down.

Have others experienced this? Is this a byproduct of the module clearance being low and would higher/stiffer make it happen less often?

This is usually when it’s detected something for collision avoidance or it is maneuvering a corner or turn. It’s currently normal, but the abrupt stops and the frequency of them is concerning for long term health of the gearing IMHO.
