Why? Pro Module vs Leaf Blower and GPS

Does anyone have any idea why when you have the Leaf Blower on the GPS is basically useless and this thing wonders around the yard like a drunken idiot? Its running the exact same area that the Pro module has zero problems with. Ran the pro module dozens of time without a single GPS issue. Put the leaf blower on and it is right back at being useless. Yes, tried dead reconning on and off with the leaf blower on (its always on with the pro module). Opening a ticket with Yarbo seems like a path of pure frustration that will result in nothing. Pro module does do a great job mulching, but it should would be nice to blow all that excess off. Is the leaf blower just that much further behind, we know its ability to see is another area of it being basically useless right now, but how in the heck can a module head have an impact on GPS unless the software has much more control over the GPS than one would expect.

Have you tried turning off vision?

Using low mount antennas? Maybe the leaf blower module itself is blocking some of the signal? Could switch to the high mounts and see if it makes a difference.

What you’ve described is certainly not my personal experience using the leaf blower.

That said, I’m trying to figure out what could be causing your issues.

Maybe Yarbo is seeing leaves as potential obstacles? I have the vision turned off when using the blower. That’s the only thing I can think of.

If your area is free of potential impact hazards, try turning vision off and see what happens.

Thanks everyone for input so far. It is not stopping because of obstacles it flat out says GPS. I will give what @bryan.wheeler suggested perhaps. I sure wish they would come up with a higher gain antenna for this. I would buy it the same day they released it.

Hi @mike1 Switching modules shouldn’t affect GPS. We’d recommend opening a ticket via support@yarbo.com so our team can pull the logs and pinpoint what’s causing the issue.

@Yarbo-Forum I agree. I think it was pure coincidence. Now that I am switching back and forth more from mower to blower it makes no difference. One day no GPS issues. Fast forward 2 or three days at the same time and in the same location, no GPS.

Hi @mike1 As we discussed in the other post, GPS performance can vary due to various factors. Our team is still working to improve overall stability — thanks for your patience!
