Won’t cut because “Yarbo is adjusting the blade”

Did it auto close or is it just on hold while its being escalated? If closed, you can reopen the ticket. Either in the app or just by replying to the email. Drop your ticket number here so the forum moderator and look into it for you.

I was told ticket #208169 was being escalated. Yarbo was going to do remote diagnostics. I reopened another ticket because I did not know about a auto close. Yarbo has my full attention. This seems to be a known issue. I removed my battery during the winter and store the Yarbo inside. The lawn mower module has only worked once this year.

Hi there, sorry to hear about the issue. I’ll help follow up on your new ticket to ensure it is properly addressed and resolved.

  1. Please check whether there is any grass or debris caught around the blade area or inside the mower head near the lift motor. If you find any, clear it completely, restart the mower, and let us know whether the “adjusting the blade” message still appears after cleaning.

No grass or debris near lift motor. The blades spin when started from app. I cannot adjust the blade height up or down. I changed the height in the work plan and Yarbo still did not start cutting. The battery was disconnected and reconnected for over five minutes before starting cutting plan. Mower_Deck1 Mower_Deck2 Mower_Deck3 Blades_Rotating_20260608

  1. Please update the mower firmware to the latest version (Yarbo app → Device → Firmware Update), then try mowing again and let us know if the issue persists after the update.

App and Yarbo updated to the latest version. Yarbo_Version_Info

  1. A screenshot from the Yarbo app showing the “adjusting the blade” message or any error notification on that screen.

  1. One more question: is the mower module you are having trouble with the standard Lawn Mower Module (round spinning disc blades) or the Mower Pro Module (straight fixed blades)?

Standard Lawn Mower Module (round spinning disc blades)

  1. Once we have resolved the blade issue, we will circle back to the camera and light concerns and get those taken care of as well.

Camera and light concerns seemed to be resolved with latest firmware update.

Thank you for the detailed update and for taking the time to complete all of the troubleshooting steps.

As we mentioned in your support ticket, we have already initiated the replacement process for you. We truly appreciate your patience while the replacement is being prepared and shipped.

We’ll continue to follow up on your case and do our best to make sure the replacement reaches you as soon as possible. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I’m currently on the waiting list for a replacement Lawn Mower Pro (#227530). What is the current average waiting time for shipments? The list above includes some very long wait times and presumable they have received replacements already. This info would be helpful for us to determine ways to deal with rapidly growing grass while we wait. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. There seemed to be a backlog of stock on some of the units. Hopefully that has cleared and you are on a short list. @Yarbo-Forum can hopefully provide some clarity here for you.

Hi there, the next batch of Lawn Mower Pro units is expected to arrive at our warehouse this Friday, and we will arrange shipments as soon as they arrive.

Typically, you can expect to receive the replacement unit within 3–7 business days after it has been shipped.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to fulfill the replacement requests.

I received the replacement Lawn Mower Pro in response to my previous reach out to the Support folks. Thanks! I enjoyed the great performance of the replacement unit given the very nice appearance of my lawn with a 3 inch height or sometimes even lower as opposed to the 4 inch height (which was the only height with which the mower would operate). This great situation lasted about a week when I noticed a message from the Yarbo stating something like “the height adjustment motor is overheating”. When I started to use the mower again, I was unable to adjust the mowing height and I was back to 4 inches again. I examined the mower blades and noted a stick blocking the motion of blades. I am guessing this stick caused the overheating and the failure to adjust the cutting height. Removal of the stick did not change this condition. What would you recommend as the next step?

I would disconnect the battery for 5 minutes and reconnect. Then hold the silver button for 60 seconds and release. Then push it again like normal. See if this fixes the issue, if not add or start a new ticket.

Can you raise or lower the blades manually?

Thanks, B-Mod! Not sure how to move the blades manually. Do I just grab one of the blades (with gloves on) and try to move it up or down?

Use the app controller and change the cutting height.

Go in the app, where you manually drive the rover, and there are buttons to raise and lower the blades. Word of caution, the buttons don’t work very well, you just need to keep pushing them to get it fully raised and lowered. It is like playing a Yarbo video game, lol.

Thanks! Will try it the first thing in the morning. What does it tell me if I am able to raise/lower the blades in the manual mode?

I guess then you will know if it is a mechanical issue or software issue. Be sure to do the battery pull and restart I posted earlier.

Hi there, could you please first try the troubleshooting steps suggested by our community members?
