Wtf Yarbo

I think I’ve just about had it with the mower. I had issues mapping, huge collar around my yard even though I mapped Yarbo to mow over it. Fine, I edged more than I needed to. It’s constantly falling off the curb and beaching itself (so much for cm accuracy), fine, I stopped mowing there and edged or mowed it. It keeps hitting my fence and patio. Fine, I re-mapped and added dead ends. It just ran into more things or found more invisible obstacles or just tore up the lawn. I even went as far as deleting everything, even the data center and did a complete install, still have issues with mapping. Was this everything that I hoped it to be? Maybe, kind of. Am I getting frustrated because I invested into something that I thought would be hassle free help, yes. Oh and, I’ve gotten a massive fungus issue around the perimeter of my lawn, after staring at Yarbo work, seems like the fungus developed where Yarbo does the 3point turns. It just mashes the grass down. Today, the motors just started grinding out of nowhere. Maybe I wasn’t the intended audience for the mower. Who knows. Help!

Cracked or broken mowing disk?

Thought the same thing, nothing. I did have random motor blocked warnings, but they were never blocked or had anything stuck.

I’m guessing you took that blade off?

It looks as if a blade is missing on the left disk. That might cause the disk to be slightly off balance. Did you run it that way?

Blade has been missing for about 2-3 weeks. I stripped the insert when I was removing the old blades. Disks spin freely without the motor engaged. No jamming up, no wobbling. Cut fine up to yesterday, mid mow, just started grinding away.

I have a support ticket open also.

If a screw will go in you can use some loctite to hold it in. Had same thing happen to mine and it held. The noise is most likely from the missing blade. Quite a few people have posted about missing blades and that sound or blades getting stuck in and also causing that sound. I know you said it was not there before but maybe something hit and knocked something loose and caused it to become imbalanced.

I will try a new blade tomorrow. Thanks

I’m really sorry to hear about all the issues you’ve been experiencing, and I completely understand your frustration. Thank you for sharing everything in such detail—it truly helps us understand what you’re going through.

First, regarding your ongoing support ticket about the grinding sound from the lawn mower module: as discussed, please wait for the replacement to arrive and install the new blade. Once installed, check if the issue persists. If it does, we’ll continue troubleshooting with you and provide further support as needed.

As for the problems with mapping, out-of-boundary movement, and collision with fences or invisible obstacles—we understand these are critical concerns. We know there’s still room for improvement, and our team is actively working on enhancing both the navigation algorithms and vision system to achieve more reliable and precise operation.

Regarding the fungus issue you noticed near the lawn edges: if it appears related to Yarbo repeatedly turning in the same spots (such as 3-point turns), you might consider using the route rotation angle feature. This setting allows you to change the route angle for each Work Plan, which can help avoid excessive turning in the exact same location every time.

You’re absolutely right to expect a hassle-free solution, and we’re here to help you get the most out of your Yarbo. We truly appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to improve.

You guys were right. Swapped the discs and put new blades, runs like a charm! I just have to spend some more time fine tuning. Or I’ll wait until the string trimmer gets delivered and map again and try to fine tune then. Thanks again everyone!

Awesome! glad its fixed. I don’t know at what RPM the blades run, but I don’t think it takes a whole lot for them to get out of balance. Then vibration ensues.

I did see a little wobble after I installed the disks, but it’s running flawlessly.
