Yarbo loses its location while returning to base

Hi folks. There’s a tree in my side yard that my Yarbo passes under whenever it goes between the dock and several of my mowing areas. It’s about 50/50 whether it will lose it’s GPS/RTK lock and stop under the tree. I’m using PPVS due to having a pond beside one yard. My side yard settings (where the tree is) are 50m for both perimeter and inside. The area I’m trying to mow has similarly permissive limits. But the Yarbo will only drive about 5m under the tree in the side yard once it’s list location precision.

Is there a setting I’m missing? I used to have it driving down the driveway to the dock, but after it discovered a truck in the driveway, couldn’t figure out where to go, and helpfully parked itself right behind the truck in the driveway (glad I noticed!), I decided I couldn’t use the driveway as a pathway any more.

Make sure under PPVS that global apply is disabled and that you have each area enabled and set for the PPVS settings you want.

Do you have the Pro antennas by chance? They really help if not. Consider getting 3. 2 for the core and 1 for the DC. If you’re using NetRTK, then just get 2. You could also try NetRTK and see if you get better results. Sometimes if your DC is slightly obstructed it can lead to more GPS pauses.

As Bryan mentioned, are you currently using RTK Antenna Pro? If not, upgrading to RTK Antenna Pro may help improve positioning stability in your case.

Thanks. I can get different antennae but I have whatever came with this Yarbo when it was purchased in the spring. I don’t think that’s fundamentally the answer though. I’m trying to figure out why the Yarbo will only drive 10m (I said 5 in my first post but that was a typo) before it stops.

The area I’m mowing has boundary and in-area PPVS settings of 50m/50m. The area it stops in (side yard) has settings of 50m/60m. However, it stops after 10m. Maybe I need to be asking Yarbo this instead of a forum post, but it just seems that PPVS settings aren’t honoured when a Yarbo is driving through an area on its way to/from base.

And you have global apply disabled under Yarbo labs PPVS? If so, I’d open a ticket.

Thanks. Figured I’d ask here first in case I was missing something. Yes, PPVS Global Apply is disabled.

Hi there, could you please submit a support ticket so our team can investigate further and identify the root cause? I’ll also help follow up on your case to make sure it receives the attention it needs.
