Why doesn’t Yarbo have bogey wheels? Went to do the chute mod and it couldn’t get over the door threshold without help, almost couldn’t get over the baby gate. The inner metal guards push the tracks outwards and they just slide past providing very minimal traction. This might also be contributing to getting stuck in winter, especially when cresting over the moguls it tends to create if you don’t have a surface you can scrape down to.
Yes it is a bad design. it is worst with the SAM on. there is not enough weight in the front so yarbo get stuck. have thought about mounting a wheel at the bottom at the tracks in the middle between the drive wheels.
Yes, they should’ve put an idler wheel in the middle and both front and rear wheels should have the cogs on them like the 23 does. The track cover plate should be thicker and taller in the front to fill the void and the plate in the rear should as well. I think this would help keep debris out. Some users who’ve modded it this way (at least the from track plate) have said it works for them.
Are there any good pictures/videos/documentation on the old design? I’m thinking about seeing if I could find something to retrofit from a snowmobile/kids snowmobile, RC snowmobile or something. Maybe use the rear idler from the M-Series? ![]()

I’ve seen a side profile of the 23 posted once on FB but it’s just the same drive wheel as the 24, just for both wheels. They didn’t use an idler wheel on the rear. I don’t know if there was a rear metal plate like the 24 has.
