I tried mowing with smart turn mode and it seems to really get confused sometimes on my lawn. I figured I’d try zero turn mode and see how things went, perhaps that would be faster.
What I’ve noticed is that for some reason in zero turn mode it often leaves the boundary edge and sometimes gives up and tells you to navigate it back into the boundary area. I’m not sure if the boundary problem is GPS related, but it looks on the map to be about right.
Has anyone done extensive testing around smart turn / zero turn to see 1) if it helps at all reduce overall time or about the same and 2) anyone else seeing boundary issues with zero turn mode?
I don’t think this is a turning issue but some current firmware bugs. A new release is likely around the corner soon. If you have any issues that cannot be worked around, I’d recommend putting in a ticket with support.
Regarding your first question, choosing Zero Turn mode can indeed improve overall mowing efficiency; however, it also carries a higher risk of causing lawn damage.
As for the second question, we would need more information to determine the root cause of the boundary issue you’re experiencing.
We recommend submitting a support ticket with detailed information, including a video showing the device’s behavior and the approximate timestamp when the issue occurred.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and look forward to helping you resolve it!
