Cutting Height Motor Drive Issue

My Yarbo completed it’s first mowing job today. About 36,000 sq ft. At the very end, just as it got to the Docking station, it stopped with a Cutting Height Motor Drive Issue, Please inspect and clear any blockages in the Cutting Discs. I turned it on it’s side and there were no obvious blockages. Is there a way to reset the error and/or perform additional diagnostics?

I saw one FB post that there could be debris way up close to where the spindle goes into the body causing this type of error.

I suspect this is just a visual bug if what Ken said checks out fine. To clear any errors, just go into the app controller and hit clear error. If it immediately comes back then you probably have a bigger issue that requires a support ticket.

Mine did the same (no interference)… 2 reboots and 2 removals/reattachments of the lawnmower and it went away. Specifically I was getting a drive over current error. You could hear it try to move (and feel it), then stopped.

The reboots seemed to get it (hard reboot by removing battery)

If you’ve already checked for blockages and didn’t find anything, but the error is still showing, we recommend submitting a support ticket. Our support team will be able to check the condition of the cutting height motor and provide the best solution. Thanks so much for your patience!

Thanks for the replies. I rebooted the Yarbo System and the error went away. This weekend, I’ll remove the mower module and look deeper. In the meantime, I’ll submit a support ticket.

Just got this error today. Blades appear to be extended but the app shows 4 in. Opened a ticket. Looks like there needs to be a way to recalibrate. Rebooted several times. Disconnected the mower several times. Still no joy.

Mowing 4 and 1/2 acres. Hope to get it resolved quickly, otherwise I’ll get behind.

When you say the blades appear to be extended do you mean to a set cutting height lower than 4 inches? What is your desired cutting height? That is the cutting height in the area that the rover is in when you see the error? This usually happens because there is build up of grass on the blade guards or up behind the cutting discs. Lower the blades all the way down, power down the rover. Remove the module and hose all underneath being sure to get above the guards. Some people are removing the entire guard assembly and blade guards to prevent buildup of grass and other debris. You could try this as well if the issue persists.

The blades got clogged with grass and it returned to the base to charge. I cleaned it before I left the house this morning, then started to try to mow at about 9. :00 it wouldn’t leave the dock. The mower blades appear extended to 1.2 the app shows 4.0. I usually do 2.7

Seems like the calibration on the mower blade height is off. It’s so low. If you try to mow it’ll immediately clog. And no automatic settings will work. Just faults. Won’t even return to charge.

It’s completely clean under there

Ah, ok I see now. I’ve seen some complaints about this but from what I’ve seen it’s usually random and intermittent. The app usually also shows the correct blade height as well. I’m curious if you tried to mow in an area like the driveway at the set cut height if it would go to the right set height. I would recommend trying this. Shutdown in the app. Pull the battery cable. Double check that the cutting discs are still all the way down. Make sure the module connector and locking pins and everything are connected tight. Wait 5 mins, reconnect the battery and boot back up. The power up sequence should raise and lower the discs. I believe it’s a sort of calibration. If that doesn’t work, it’s ticket time with support.

Had the wife do the battery thing. Twice.

I’m actually out on the road so I’ll have to look at it firsthand when I get home.

Only problems. The grass is really going to be tall.

Removed battery 5 minutes each time. She removed the module. The app shows 4 in but it is definitely extended most of the way. Can’t Tell exactly I was doing tech support via video.

I was getting a mower disc fault, but that’s only because it was clogging up due to the disc being extended all the way.

Couldn’t hurt to go ahead and get a ticket started and get in the queue. At least they can check it out and see if they see anything. Maybe even before you get back to check for yourself.

After a few reboot shows correct type but still will not change. Faults out if I try to send it back home.

If I try to manually change it just reverts back to the 1.4
