I’m not sure about the power board, but you might be onto something with the heat.
Mine is out fine mowing right now, but I’ve seen the CH003 error twice in the last couple of days, and it’s been hot here. I am going to let the mower sit on the Docking Station in the heat and then send it out later this afternoon. It’s the conditions I saw that message with yesterday.
I got my replacement a couple days ago. I’ve mowed twice with it now and the same cutting height error is back. It’ll still go cut or at least the first one did. So I don’t know that it’s a blocking error but sure is annoying on something just a month old.
I’ve noticed it won’t go all the way to 4.0 when the error is occurring, it’ll go to 3.9 or something.
It wasn’t excessively hot here today but I could see where heat could help cause it. I seem to get the error more often when I finish one job and send it to do another.
I guess as long as it keeps mowing it’s OK. Hopefully with more people having the issue they will figure it out.

This sounds like the grass pancake in between the blade guard bracket and the top of the mower deck. Have you dropped the blades all the way down and cleaned on top of those brackets? If you are mowing dry grass consistently, it’s pretty easy to take care of this if you don’t want to permanently remove the blade guards and brackets. When it is on the charger it will drop the blades all the way down. Lift the front of the module a little bit and hit underneath with a leaf blower. That will usually dislodge any grass up top. Also just tipping the module on its side is enough with dry grass. you can shut the core down and pop the module off real quick, tip it and inspect it, then reconnect and power back up. Wet grass will need some hose action and maybe some elbow grease.
I had read that the blade guards and brackets were problematic, but left them on initially. After I got my first height error 2-weeks in, I removed them. I haven’t gotten the error since. I would recommend pulling them.
I too have had WAY LESS ISSUES with grass clippings gettin hung up and causing this issue since removing the blade guards and brackets. Definitely less hassle with them off.
I did some cleaning last night noticed a good amount of build up on outside of the motor housing. This buildup is partially flipping the housing seal. I wiped the motor housings down with a rag as a precaution.
This all speculation, but I would guess debris could get swept off the housing on the wrong side of this seal when the motor is extending. I’m assuming there’s some type of screw jack with position sensors there. I’d bet this mechanism is not intended to be in contact with dirt and debris. The fact the motor retracts and extends on every docking would add to this.
Could this be contributing to some of the height errors when there’s clearly no blockage visible?
It’s possible but while I’ve seen buildup there I’ve not seen an issue otherwise. I’ve seen it trigger the error from buildup there though. You can usually raise and lower it a few times and clear that.
I’ve joined the party. Ticket #107097. Tried all the usual Shut down/restart system under safety setting, and tried rebooting the data center. No obvious obstructions on the motor shafts.
Part of the club now. Mine is random. Works one day, then not the next. Ticket # 105664. Read through this forum and followed everyones suggestions before I posted ticket. In my first ticket post, I listed all the things tried in detail. Yarbo support initial response was to try all the same steps again.
I am trying to be patient, but it’s like they don’t even read what you post. Then very long spread out response that is generic and really no help.
To be honest, I am really rooting for this company. But any competition that comes along that provides a similar product with real support, I believe it will be over for them..
I’m really sorry for the inconvenience caused by this issue, and I’ve checked your support ticket in our system. Your case has already been escalated to our R&D team for further investigation, which is why it’s taking a bit longer to reach a conclusion.
That said, we will proceed with replacing your mower module. Our support team will follow up with you shortly through your ticket to coordinate the next steps.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding!
As an update - my power board went dead under a month after my last post, they’re shipping me a new core. All of my issues for the 4 months of my Yarbo life I’m pretty sure have been core related.
Interesting. I had the cutting height motor issue in july and they replaced the mower. Then in mid-aug I had the power board issue with the core. They just replaced it, obtained the new core 2 days ago. Now it wont charge so idk. When it works I really like it, but I didnt expect to be back shopping for new robot mowers 6 months into this. I’ve basically had an entire system replaced. That cant be a sustainable business model.
