You always have that option. But for something like that, they seem to prefer to send a replacement.

Wasn’t an option offered on my M1 exchange.

Probably because they wanted to tear it apart and see what happened. But their warranty policy as it was described when I preordered is replacement or part if you’re comfortable doing the repair.

I get that. I’d love them to figure out the failure mode. And that’s probably necessary.

I’m still concerned about the power board.

I’ve seen the power board error before (although it went away).

I hope I’m wrong but leaf blowers and snow blowers usage may show some marginal power boards may need to be replaced.

I got the same problem with blades stopping. Submitted a ticket but have not heard back from Support yet? How long can I expect this to take for Yarbo Support to look into this problem?

My ticket has been open for a month now, still no solution. They just keep telling me to just leave it on the charger and they will do a check and get back asap, this has been the message for a week now. Nothing happens

@on_trak - My Pro mower had the same issue and was resolved by a new mower head.

I responded to the case/ticket, was traveling last week. But forwarded requested information and turned on the rover on Sunday and replied on the same email string. But nothing from Yarbo since . Is email the best way to communicate in the ticketing system, or not? Investigation does not appear to be going anywhere.

My PRO was working perfectly and then . . . Got the blade speed error. Been about two weeks lots of communication and testing but no resolution.

@Yarbo-Forum same problem. Ticket #219337. It started with the mower stopping in the middle of nowhere. Not sure if it is related but I realize that it might be this same problem, robot stops because of that motor speed problem (but no obstruction, disks spin normally) then drains the battery and dies… I’m 100% that it is not grass clippings as I removed both disks, cleaned the whole deck including the motor shaft, greased everything. Both blades spin smoothly and as usual. I hear the blades spin for maybe 10 seconds then it stops saying that left motor is blocked. But I see it spin underneath the robot! I tried shutdown, reboot, 1-minute press reboot, disconnect battery, disconnect head and reconnect, waiting, charging 100%. Anything else to check guys? Is there some sensor we can troubleshoot that can be faulty and incorrectly register the speed of the blade?

I did open a ticket and I’m still stuck at the usual (please reboot, please do this, please go in settings…) for things that are unrelated to my problem, as if I was a new customer… But I 100% know I was able to use the robot for an entire summer and part of this one… I also have camera disconnection problems, “The machine stopped abnormally” (this one is the first time I see), cutting mother height drive issue (but again, I can adjust the height manually no problem). So several different errors on the mower head, and now it just stopped mowing completely as it “doesn’t reach speed”. So it is not a mapping issue, setting issue or whatever. Any other idea than wait for support to decide to send a replacement? Any other part I can service myself?

Thanks… I hope it won’t be too long. For interest everyone, I was able to connect to the MQTT stream. A lot of very interesting info there. I was able to plot this to troubleshoot.

So you see the right motor engaging, including its temperature increasing, the RPM surge until stabilizing and current. And you see no current (well 8 on the left transiently) with no RPM. In a situation where you have an obstruction/frozen motor, you would have a current surge with low to no RPM. So it is either a dead motor, or a short somehwhere. Since the motor spins freely, doesn’t seem to be a dirty shaft.

I don’t see any broken wire from what is easily accessible but I don’t want to disassemble the thing (I don’t want to void the warranty). But anybody has any info on how/where the motor is connected to the mower head/board/core?

Most likely support is going to just replace the module for you. You could ask in your ticket if they are OK with you opening it up to see if you can locate the problem. That should cover you for warranty.
