Hotfix Update: Firmware V3.14.11 & App V3.19.5

Hi there, thanks for the update. If you’re still experiencing this suspended error after charging, could you please submit a support ticket with the details so our team can look into it further?

Hi there, could you please submit a support ticket for this issue? Our team will investigate it further to identify the root cause.

I installed the update this morning. It installed successfully but after the update was installed I got a failed to charge, make sure it is centered on the pad error. I had the unit in my garage plugged in, not on the charging pad. I cleared the error and it seems fine. Not a big deal but it concerns me that these things aren’t taken into consideration.

I have one of mine in the garage on the wired charger and it said out loud failed to charge, but in the app it showed it charging. Another yarbo quirk.

Yes, this appears to be a “known” issue as several people on wired chargers have reported this. A reboot typically clears it up if the clear error doesn’t work. I don’t think they attempted the clear error TBH.

First issue found: the app doesn’t close if I click the back button twice, as I always have… Android system on S23+

Also a “known” issue with Android. I assume all, but maybe only some.

/sigh

Play Store reports the new app is not compatible with Android Pie-64 (Bluestacks emulator).

@cobradunn there’s your verification.

This is really a bummer. While I haven’t used it in a while, it was nice to have the option.

Thanks for confirming they broke this. @Yarbo-Forum - Care to explain why this option has been eliminated? I use BlueStacks to monitor Yarbo from my work PC. This limitation is an issue given how bad Yarbo’s notification system works and that it requires babysitting.

…never mind trying to manage 300,000,000 dead ends and tasks.

@JNS @B-Mod Thanks for the feedback! I’ve passed it along to our team for further review.

@Gabriele @cobradunn Sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll pass both of your app-related feedback points along to our team for further review.

I am still on 3.13.15 firmware (EU). Is there any possibility that Yarbo did miss my upgrade somehow? I even didn’t get 3.14.

Best Regards,

If you don’t receive the latest update within 4 days, open a ticket and they’ll resolve it for you.

Thank you Yarbo.
Hot fix firmware V3.14.11 is definitely an improvement for my Yarbo with the Lawn Mower Pro. It is back to performing like it did before the last updates which caused obstacle avoidance problems. The mower, when traveling directly forward and up to the fence obstacle does seem to stop abruptly and then continues to proceed forward slowly. This could be the way the vision and ultrasonic sensor algorithm deals with a plastic fence with wire mesh attached. This abrupt stop does not appear to be the same with walls or our rock caged wall.

The changes to the automatic recovery for obstacle-related pauses along with the improved obstacle avoidance in the Moderate Bypass Mode appear to have also helped with cutting along (parallel) to our fence line. Before this hot fix the mower continually stopped/paused/avoid/restart along the fence. The parallel fence was recognized as an obstacle along its entire length. With this hot fix the mower just hums along with minimal stopping.

Moderate bypass is on, ultrasonic sensor is on, boundary obstacle avoidance is on, perimeter is back up to 4 inches, and extend area boundary is zero.

No other problems observed so far.

This hot fix update is not perfect but much better. I am again becoming comfortable not having to watch the mower during the job waiting for a problem to show up. Thank you again for the needed update.

Just a side point for users, if you may be having problems with obstacles check your front vision camera. My lawn mower pro camera lens looked pretty clean when I checked it and the vision in the app also looked good - BUT - when the mower changed direction and was heading more toward the sun, spots showed up on the field of view. I noticed more difficulty with obstacles when the spots were present.

I just returned my new perfect condition Yarbo for the B009 Powerboard issue and received a refurbished Yarbo. Did I just get screwed with a crappy looking refurbished core for no reason?

I am sure Yarbo figured out the hardware was bad in remote testing.

Negative, it would randomly throw the error. It first occurred when I manually drove the Yarbo off the geo-fence

Hi there, have you received the update yet? If not, please reach out to our support team, and we can help manually push the update to your Yarbo.
