Lights on while on the docking station and new charging pattern

Which HA Integration are you using? Make sure it’s the YarboInc version. The Markus version has issues.

I haven’t seen this issue.

It is the YarboInc version.

At least for me, switching the core to standby mode (HA) helped with the light problem.

That makes sense because that is sleep mode (no app connection). Working mode would be like having an app connection.

I noticed this same behavior last night (with the lights all coming on when it was at 100%). I turned the lights off via the app, and they stayed off. Like you, I have the Home Assistant integration installed, but I have nothing configured for any automations or anything. It never did that before.

Same/similar charging problem here…

  • Rover docks OK, starts recharging normally, green blinking light on Docking Station.
  • After it hits 100%, the charging icon in the app goes to that oval shape, and the Docking Station light goes solid blue.
  • Charging for me does not resume <90% charge. Yesterday it went to 7%, this morning was 88% or so (it was below 90).

I hit Recharge this morning, and it started charging / green blinking light. It’s now back to the solid blue light with the oval icon in the app, so I suspect it stopped charging again.

@Yarbo-Forum - shall I open a ticket on this, or do you guys have a handle on it? If my information will help and not be noise, I’ll open a ticket.

Submit a ticket. There are only a handful of these complaints I’ve seen this far so the more data they have, the better.

Overnight the Docking Station light was blue, and the app had the oval icon, BUT the rover was at 100% this morning. Perhaps this issue is intermittent, which is why not everyone sees it. Some folks may not even be aware it’s happening if they don’t look.

Could very well be and maybe it’s intentional for all we know. Maybe all part of rebalancing the cells.

Can you snap a pic of the oval icon you are talking about? I don’t think I have ever seen it.

Heard “Ready for Work!” in the wee hours this morning, so Support may have gone in to check things out.

I’ve not seen the issue in the past day or two, so “something” is triggering “something” to cause this for “some” people.

Hmmm…started being OK a couple days ago, then I got that “Ready to work!” in the middle of the night, is still OK. The only difference is now at 100% it’s staying as the square icon instead of going oval. Maybe Support folks twiddled something, or that middle of the night reboot did something.

I haven’t heard from Support.
