Replacement core won't recognize charging station and significant GPS displacement

I’ve asked the FSE team to review your case as soon as possible.

Thanks for your patience while we work on resolving this for you.

Thank you Kindly.

An update to my forum friends.

I just received word that support will be sending a replacement core. I appreciate that, and the continued moral support from this online community.

That being said, my current core, in a nod to Star Wars, and being my sixth core, was named “Si(x)th Warrior”.

I’m already trying to think of my new core’s name, and the only one that comes to mind would be a nod to Star Trek Voyager as “Seven of Nine”. But that seems a bit pessimistic, so I’m working on a better name while I await arrival of fresh horses.

My son has suggested “Magnificent Seven” from the movie. I admire and appreciate the optimism! That is my leading contender.

This is very sad that you are going on number 7. I would have given up long ago and delivered that turd to Yarbo headquarters.

Totally get it.

For me, I’m retired and have an odd obsession with solving problems. It served me well in my career, and now focusing it on my Yarbo keeps me from driving my wife crazy.

It’s also crazy hot here in Florida much of the year, and it keeps me off the back of my tractor every week.

My son is into metal working and 3D printing, I think I have him talked into fabrication of a heat sink and maybe even an active radiator to keep the battery cool. If so, I may seek access/permission from Yarbo to tap into a power supply using one of the available ports to drive a fan and/or pump. Time will tell.

When they release core bridge sometime next year, you would be able to do this and program toggles on and off.

That’s awesome news!

Is there a place that anyone can access to see these future release things? I’m probably just missing it.

They generally announce in the social media sites. Here is the one I mentioned. https://youtu.be/p0uBWQW8OJc?si=3W_nydpmighW6lNW

I love this idea. If I was in your situation, I’d totally use that name.

That said, I sincerely hope you never increment up to 9 cores…

Hello Forum Friends,

I’m profoundly sad to report that although my replacement core (Magnificent 7) arrived, its box was damaged and upon inspection, the rear end of the frame was bent.

The frame was crushed against the back panel so it was with difficulty that we were able to remove it to press the start button. Finally ready to dock and charge….

But Alas, it too would not recognize the docking station. Now the only component that hadn’t been swapped out was the Datacenter. So…. Using a new data center that Yarbo had previously sent, I replaced it.

Then the new core refused to connect to the app.

So, I unlinked it from my account, but now it will not relink. I’ve restarted, powered down and up, pressed the power button for 60 seconds, removed the battery for an hour, everything I can think of, bit it will not relink.

I’m stuck. Have opened tickets but otherwise just waiting. Not sure what next step to try.

Suggestions welcomed.

Jeff

When you replaced the DC, was it linked or was that just replacing the hardware?

Hey Bryan,

I’m not sure I understand the question.

I originally added the new core while the existing data center was still connected. When I discovered that the new core would still not recognize the dock, out of desperation, I decided to physically replace the data center with a new one.

However, I was then unable to connect to the core. So after trying multiple reboots, etc., I decided to unlink the core from my account and try to re-add it.

Now, I am unable to do that. I just keep getting the same error message. I attached to my last post.

The data center seems fine, green light is on, etc.

Best,

Jeff

Ok, sounds like bluetooth may have stopped working. That would explain why the dock didn’t work either. Hopefully they can remote into it and fix the bluetooth for you.

That would be great! Since I’m not able to connect to it, how would they be able?

I also wonder what they will want to do about the frame being bent / crushed during delivery, but for now I just really need to get something mowing.

I’ve even briefly considered buying some fossil fuel and using an internal combustion mower (gasp) but am not quite that desperate yet.

Or buy a goat or three :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I have neighbors that have taken that route, but it would require some more restrictive fencing than I currently have, it was designed for horses. Plus I’ve been told that they sometimes like to jump up on cars etc.

I’m hopeful that my Yarbo, be it number 7 or 8, will rise to the occasion! Working on keeping a positive attitude.

Maybe with the old data center since you did get it paired once or VIA cellular

A neighbor about a 1/4 mile from me had his goat come in our yard. It stood with its front hooves on my wife’s Tesla. I still can’t believe there was no damage to the aluminum hood. First it tried to attack her as she was getting in her car. We got to laugh later as we caught it on our security cameras.
