Manually updated the App this morning (checked last night, wasn’t out on android) and pulled the power cord. Its at 100% charge. App closed out.
Got over half inch of rain expected in the next 24hrs so hopefully it updates while its sitting.

Today, 7-2-25 I received both the firmware update 3.9.16 and I updated my app to 3.15.4. This happened this morning while I was mowing the back yard. At or about the time of the update my Yarbo ran into a no go zone. I backed it out and drove it to the charging pad. I cleaned the mower of my wife’s flowers, reinstalled and sent it back out into the world to bring justice to my back yard. It seems to be mowing fine since then.

Ooh. Please elaborate. Just the thought of this makes me thing my cause of a lot of issues may be not doing so.
I think they made this go away in the latest App. Anyone else notice?
They may have done some other awesome fixes, but this one’s all I needed. (And that stoppage thing, yeah, that kinda stunk.
)
That one is/was annoying, maybe if your map has 0 no go zones, but e v e r y t i m e…
Still waiting with updated app for a core update.

Looks like it’s firmware dependent. It still appears in app 3.15.4 with old firmware.
My Yarbo updated to firmware 3.9.16 and app version says 3.15.4.
Interestingly enough, it updated while it was mowing. It did suspend a couple times. I assumed for GPS as I received no message as to why.
Anyhoo I’m updated and Yarbo continues to mow.
Thanks Yarbo team!

Yeah it’s supposed to only do this while docked but I’ve had it do it when the auto plan is stopped for any reason.
yes. i suspect my first core bricked updating with a “poor gps” pause triggering the update but in a bad area for wifi and okish HaLow confusing the comms. Now i don’t turn on the wifi unless im waiting on this update.
Datapoint - my app updated this morning. This evening, the core went to recharge at the tail end of the daily chores, with just some small percentage remaining in the task.
While charging at around 20ish% on .8.18, I killed the task and the core rebooted, coming back up with .9.16.
sounds about right.
Something has changed for Smart Turns. When Yarbo is turning around to start a new row, it is now doing 3 separate Zero Turns (where both tracks are turning opposite ways) and driving 1-2 feet between the turns. This is destroying our lawn (the lawn is new this year) and I stopped the work plan after 10 rows once I saw the damage that is being done.
We started trying to use Yarbo in the beginning of May and have not successfully completed a work plan to date. We have relegated Yarbo to testing errors for support while we have been waiting for the next firmware (first rumoured to be released in the last half of May), we got it last night.
In this short test there were still episodes where shadows on the lawn were detected as obstacles and the computed paths to avoid them were huge and nonsensical detours.
The perimeter mowing paths were always using zero turns and still do use zero turns (causing unnecessary turf damage). When the permitter turning method is combined the newly-changed smart turns, Yarbo is really tearing up our lawn on the perimeter.
We are parking Yarbo until this is addressed.
We spend more time mapping, then watching Yarbo try to complete a plan and fail, remapping, testing and retesting than it takes to mow the lawn manually.
Yep, had a conversation with my wife about this exact problem today. I too am going to be parking it for a while. Lawn is getting torn up due to the turning bugs that keep getting worse with every release.
Not sure who all can remember this far back, but before the previous firmware, Yarbo handled perimeters, pathways, and dead ends much better, with smart turn maneuvers everywhere. As each firmware update is released, they are slowly replacing all of the movements with zero turn, regardless of your settings. As of now, I’m only seeing smart turns used in the inner-region of an area.
Because of this, all of my perimeters, no go zones, and dead ends now have worn patches of dead grass.
I would love to believe they will address this, but it has taken months for them to release some sort of solution to mowing in hills, and navigating around an area without “clipping” corners of your mapped regions.
It seems like they have just a few developers working on these firmware updates. I have little expectation that any of this will be resolved this season.
Am I the last one still sitting on V3.8.18?
I just got my firmware update yesterday and so far it seems to work fine.

Same here. Have not put it to work…am not to worried about the grass damage others are reporting…I’m mowing a pasture afterall, but would love to see some hill mowing improvement.

Mine did not go out on its scheduled plan after the update today, could not calculate the plan or something, noticed it in the afternoon, didn’t get a notification. Nothing changed in my plans. Don’t know what or how to fix…
yes it’s not good smart turn has been changed to smart zero turn. it’s not good for the lawn.
